Modern Day Slave

We think we are free

But in reality we are slaves to society

The everyday commotion

The pressure of earning more than we need

The wants and the greed

The claims and the misdeeds

We are modern day slaves

On a 9 to 5 life wasting away

And before we know it, we will be dead

Anything outside of that we fear,

Anything outside of our routines makes us scared

For our daily life depends on the banks and financial institutions

Who through their greed to acquire

Doom us into cycle of needs

The price for bread today

The price of gold tomorrow

Ofcourse we stand for our beliefs

And we fool ourselves into believing that our opinions count

But at the end of the day, the same idiots get re-elected

The same price rises promise to empty our pockets

And the stagnant pay

Keeps us fuming, and stuck and moulded into this modern day slave..

But opinions count

But definitely not today...
